Linn's story is one that has intersected with many, but has shown at the forefront of none. It's something of a surprise then that the aged man has now decided to surface in Drache, with all the fanfare of a beggar walking into a park. Linn, from the standpoint of many, is a man of several peculiar tastes that could only be feasibly sated in such a bustling metropolis as Drache has come to be. His never-ending hunger for cranberries, his apparent dementia, and his marriage to the esteemed floxod Agatha all, at first, seem to be peculiar qualities even for a wizard beyond his years. Regardless, the aging man still toils on with such projects as his personal astral cheese servant Alpheus, or handing out artifacts of apparent uselessness to passerby. Recently, he has been ennobled by the Drachean Interim Council, and as such was awarded the thorp he has since named Agathaville in honor of his wife.

Early Years
Linn Arnold LeQuin grew up in relatively simple conditions, even so far as the fantastical land of Arangoth is concerned. His father a simple cranberry farmer, his mother busying herself at the local dairy if not caring for her only child, it was an upbringing that was both dull and sublime. Far removed from any strife, living quite comfortably in a small hamlet to the east of Angelain, Linn's kick to adventure wouldn't come for some time.
There have been accounts, rare as they are, of a certain young girl that had grown up with him and even stayed in contact into his later years. This, of course, is not confirmed; Linn himself has never been spoken to on the subject, and as such only second or third-hand accounts can be considered at present. Most accounts also are questionable on their accuracy, as many of them diverge and focus on different people instead of Linn himself, but what each of them does agree on entirely is that if the woman does indeed exist her name was Agatha Lexius. Linn and Agatha both lived in the same thorp, were schooled together, and in general seemed inseparable. In Linn's young teens, and perhaps mid-teens as well, it's a reasonable assumption that the two were romantically involved. Again, however, no sources have expressly confirmed the suspicion, Linn himself least of all.

As the young LeQuin grew into adulthood, his schooling had begun to excel what a simple one-room schoolteacher could convey and Linn was given the opportunity to attend the Royal University when it still resided in Millabratel. Once there, he was notably one of the first students in the Royal University's storied history to have effectively doubled his workload, taking a full course load in both the Military Sciences and Arcane Studies schools of study. The reason for this choice, or even simply for the choices on topics, are unknown. The Royal University has not, and undoubtedly never will, dispute that Linn LeQuin was a remarkable student in terms of aptitude and achievement.

What every professor that still roams the halls will add to the topic is invariable, however. Linn was an awful student when it came to the basic rules and regulations of the University. Record Books recount an upward of 100 different citations for various activities, from mundane pranks to nearly breaking a fellow Arcane Studies student's neck over a verbal exchange that quickly became physical. As such, Linn made few friends, but those that he did had the same sort of short temper and penchant for mischief. It's at this point, the time of graduation, that Agatha ceases to be a topic in his life story. Whether or not she was still present and simply fell to the sidelines is up for interpretation, but Linn refuses to ever speak on her.

When Linn Lequin did graduate, he was 25 years old. He had gained both a certification to command small forces in the Arangothek national military and a certification to practice his preferred form of arcane studies, artificing, free of regulation. An honor he took with a large amount of gratitude.

As Linn left the grounds of the Royal University, he and a few of his closest cohorts had decided to use their various talents to serve the Crown. Coming from both the schools of Military Sciences and Arcane Studies, the group at first seemed like a smattering of young upstarts but quickly proved themselves to be a formidable force. The Assi were embroiled in a war with Arangoth at the time over several land disputes, and as such Linn and company were happy to join in on the action on the side of the Crown. Though technically a part of Arangoth's formal military, the nature of the soldiers that participated in the squad led to the opinion that they were better left largely autonomous.

Naming themselves the Reapers, they swept through the Assi, though heavy losses were incurred. In one notable instance, after a night of debauchery following the razing of an Assi settlement, a lone warrior came back to his home to find it destroyed and occupied by the Arangothek squad. As is Assi tradition, the lone warrior challenged Linn himself to single combat, and Linn accepted. Though Linn had never been awful with the blade, and he had received formal training at the University's Military Studies school, he was horribly outclassed and permanently crippled on his right leg. It never truly healed. The lone warrior, after landing the crippling blow, was summararily overtaken by the full force of the Reapers and their anger was released in a cathartic release that most accounts refuse to truly describe. Though Linn was never officially the leader of the group, they often looked to him for guidance, and as such he began to fill the role an increasing amount.

It's also during the campaign against the Assi that it's reported Linn LeQuin took a liking to arcane powder, a destructive amphetamine that grants a sudden rush of arcane aptitude but ruins the body in return. After the Assi campaign was concluded, the Reapers were without a dedicated purpose, and as such decided to instead try their hand at mercenary work. So long as they didn't act against the Crown, they took any job that paid, and each amassed a sizable fortune in turn. During this touring, he gained the fearsome moniker he would rather have everyone forget. This went on for an upwards of 40 years, until most were old enough to retire and settling back in Arangoth. Linn was 63.

Late Years
Linn, for whatever reason, is especially long-lived for a human. It would not be absurd to speculate he created a spell or saved enough of his fortune to pay for an enchantment that prolonged his lifespan, but regardless of what the source is he hasn't died of old age yet. After majority of the Reapers retired, Linn moved back to Millabratel, owning a shop specializing in magic baubles with a side business in arms dealing and golemization. This itself went on for a 120 years or so, his fortune growing sizably but his philanthropy growing in equal amounts.

These years are largely unremarkable, Linn settling down and not making any extensive forays into a project that changed the face of even his dining room table. The once-fiery LeQuin also seemed to have settled down in terms of women, as there are no accounts of any sort that describe a serious relationship for all of those shop-keeping Millabratel years. As the years wore on, Linn grew more and more decrepit, his mind taking the brunt of the elongated degradation.

By the time he had moved to Drache, he was some 180 years old, and the dementia had already begun to set in. The condition had no doubt been exacerbated by the arcane powder usage, but to this day Linn also refuses to make any comment on the subject. After settling in Drache, Linn seemed to finally realize that he was still on a ticking clock. He sold all of his holdings in Millabratel, bought a small home in the Back Alley, and bought an old shop that he converted into a storage unit for the most precious of his magical works and treasures. Every once and a while, if a passerby is so lucky, Linn is known to hand out a powerful artifact after entirely forgetting its purpose or value. Occasionally both.

On the whole, Linn's Drachean years have been quite mundane, with quite a bit of cranberry consumption and cheese obsession that no doubt harkens back to his sense of lost childhood. Most recently, in honor of Linn's undying devotion to Arangoth and its independence, Linn has been named Floxod of the thorp of Agathaville. No doubt also a piece of his childhood, desperately grasped but nonetheless out of reach.

Personality
When Linn is sharp, he's really sharp. It's incredibly rare. Most of the time he loses his train of thought more than he can maintain it, he assumes everyone is a young boy and he is continuously munching on cranberries.

If Alpheus is there, he can generally bounce off of his astral cheese golem for support. Reminders and points to focus on are a boon, though Alpheus is silent. It's hard to tell how Linn can tell what he means.

Physical Description
Linn has an oversized wizard hat, ragged patchwork robes that have been repaired and re-repaired countless times, and a massive white beard that is typically stained pink from his habitual cranberry consumption. He's got a large limp and an impressive hunch, and he periodically takes large naps right in the King's Inn's main area.

Linn's story is one that has intersected with many, but has shown at the forefront of none. It's something of a surprise then that the aged man has now decided to surface in Drache, with all the fanfare of a beggar walking into a park.
