Character Background

While living, Daedil Shadowhisper, who referred to himself as Random, appeared human, though his tastes were ... sorted. Often attired in decorative robes of crimson or mousy gray, he formally wore the insignia of the Paladins of Krynn~Rs Pantheon of Magic, though in the final times of his stay in Arangoth, was decorated as a Royal Knight, at which time he included an Arangothian stamp along his breast. At times he was known to carry weapons, though just as often found showing importance to something as trivial as a slingshot (which, knowing him, was often just as dangerous). In the later days of his life, when the fragility of his mind was shattered by the tortures of a sadistic lich, his cheerful approach at a humorous existence turned dour, and his comedic antics were inclined to be more malevolent.

His Own Words

This is a past interview between Random and myself (when I actually played through him, of course):

"Well people, here's the one on one chant about yours truly, Daedil Shadowhisper, AKA Random, Paladin of Lunitari, mage and illusionist of no small repute, and current Court Jester of Queenie ((That's AngelSin by the way. ((Whatever gets you through the day)).

I wandered the planes in confusion, developing my magic and powers against the creatures that dwell there. And, interestingly enough, while in Limbo, I saw the most interesting battle. Of which I included a picture. ((The High On Morphine Potty Trainers versus the Chia-Hippopotamus. Needless to say, this wasn't the thing that little fragment of sanity needed to prosper.))

Since the time of this "interview," quite a bit has changed. Well, for one, Daedil is dead. Everyone thinks that, at least, but we all know that the things that irritate us the most will never die. After freeing the souls of his family from their prison, the lich followed Daedil to Arangoth, where his tormented lack of sanity withered further, resulting in a somewhat suicidal spree across the kingdom. Daedil was last seen with the other Paladin-Magi, Dayna of Nuitari and Skylar of Solinari, and his adopted brother. When captured for an assault against the Queen, Raistlin Majere was the last to speak to him, and indeed the last to see him alive before his apparent "magical suicide" left his body cold in the prison cell. Other things never fully revealed about him was his magically vampiric nature, leeching away magical energies from other magi and unnatural forces to fuel his own, and the outcome of his son, Darius De'Witten, who was also, at one time, thought to be dead. But he came back, too, didn't he?
