Additive for tobacco, the leaves when dried add a subtle and spicy flavor and a pleasant smell to pipe tobacco. There is no physical effect from the addition of the dried leaves. When the leaves are not dry and soaked they make a tea that brings no remedy or anything but has the same kind of flavor.

Distinguishing Features: wide blue leaves with red veins growing off a red stem

Growth Cycle

This plant only grows for two months out of the year and only at the coldest part of the year. It is a hardy plant but seems to act in the reverse of a normal plant that flourishes more in the heat and sun. It is possible to grow the plant intentionally but the process is extremely difficult for a small return. Mild winters end up killing the plant instead of helping it to grow, quality of the dried leaves improves when the weather is harsh.

Regional Information

Hrungarth is located in West Alesia and is the perfect location for the growth of this shrub.

Cultivation

Though the plant is difficult for people to grow manually it is possible to do it, it isn't grown as a primary crop though because of the difficulty that comes along with it. Many of times the plant will die from bad conditions.
