Character Background

The de`Leon clan has been in the business of brokering deals with incoming and outgoing vessels to capitalize on any spared space remaining in the hull of a craft coming to Drache, or leaving. They have also been known to book passage on such vessels for a finders fee, linking errant souls with ships heading to more desirable ports.

Syr has come to know this business well, working the small office near the docks with her father, and only remaining blood family, Martin. Martin, an ex-dockhand learned much during his time at sea. Noting the foolish ways proud and unwilling captains failed to see the various ways in which to further enrich their coffers by taking on desirable or valuable cargo, fearing it would pinpoint the vessel for attack.

Strangely, as a consulting team, the de`Leons appear to be doing well. In public, they would smile and shrug casually, saying the tides were in their favor. The profits of their business, the real business have dark undercurrents never spoken of in public.
