Thymvraan Oak

The tree flies prominently on Pentland's flag, its teal leaves giving the empire one of its national colors.

Thymvraan Oaks have been described by botanists as an indigenous island oak strain that had been mutated over time by either abundant mana or the forest's ley line grid, depending on your school of prime magic theory. The wood of the huge oaks is not only hard but infused with elemental life itself, causing its fibers to knot over any fractures and self-repair, even long after the tree's been cut to planks. Its application is not only in carpentry and shipbuilding: Thymvraan leaf extract has supernatural curative powers that are well-documented by Pentlander physicians.
