Kaas Ripper

This is the most popular horror story about Kargaan Vale: a traveler cuts through the deep woods when he sees a small, sharp-toothed lizard following him. He kicks it away but he soon sees two more, then three more after that and soon, he is chased down and consumed by a ravenous swarm of raptors in miniature.

Kaas rippers are a real threat, though finding them in the numbers told in most tales is uncommon. Still, they do travel in packs and they are indiscriminate carnivores. They prey almost exclusively on larger beasts. They are in turn preyed on by those beasts whose hides are too tough to breach with their small teeth.
