I'm going to have to go with Qsilver and Aimee on this one. Although I
have not seen guilds in action on an IRC roleplaying channel, I saw quite a bit of them in my mudding days. They always started out by bringing people together and all of the good things that guilds are supposed to do, but every one that I ever saw became more eliteist(sp) as time went on. Pretty soon, each gulid associated with only thier own members, and even had blood feuds with the other guilds. The politics and backstabbing became untolerable, and more than a few people left that mud for good. This is probably the worst incident I saw, but in every instance that guilds were formed, they always ended up to be devisive and elite.
I don't know if that would happen here or not, but I would prefer not to
take the chance. In my opinion, guilds would be a bad thing.

Very good point Qsilver.....I think the politocal issues involving guilds would become very interesting. Niote I said ISSUES, not war. I don't wany screw up Arangoth's noble system and cause trouble, I want to enhance the roleplaying expiernce. The current guilds I know of in Arangoth are the Darkhunters and the Warrior's Guild. This guild is to ENHANCE roleplaying. I hope many join my guild and we become properous.

Ok..Thank you all for your opinions and thoughts on Guilds..at this
time..the Blkdragon*Inn and land of Arangoth will not be implementing them.
Myself and my advisors do not feel it is the best thing for the BDI at this
time..Perhaps in the future..

The newsletter...We hopefully will be sending out the newsletter by the end of this weekend..I still havn't hired a comics writer as of yet (hire in the IC sense you don't get any REAL money) heheh.. anyways..anyone that wants to apply for the job please send in an app and a sample of your work.. ie, a funny MIDIEVAL joke etc.. I will also be adding each back issue of the newsletter on the web pages... and would like someone with talents of drawing to make up a graphical comic strip..with key characters for example..
Also, watch for new changes to the web pages..I will be remodeling soon!

I am not one to usually say who can and cannot do something, but I have to agree with Raven on this one....the Inn is in a medieval/fantasy setting, and I think that the characters should fit with the genre...I think futuristic characters would ruin the setting of the whole thing...
