Biography

Xenophon has lived several lifetimes. Each one was in a body that is not his own. As a child, in his original life, he showed a quick grasp of alchemy and arts relating to medicine. Coming from a relatively wealthy family meant he could pursue both at his leisure.

Alchemical tomes and grimoires were sought far and wide for him. One contained the ability to extend life a thousand-fold. Following through with the formula earned him the attention of a very powerful Goddess that is the embodiment of mischief, chaos and general fuckery.

She granted his wish for extended life but neglected to tell him the exact details. His bodies are still mortal. He can die. At her whim, he is resurrected in a new body.

He believes his current body to be his seventh one that has lasted longer than a few months but the memories of past lives are hazy.

Personality

Xenophon is almost childlike in his curiosity. He will go to great lengths to study and unlock the secrets of his current obsession. He is overtly verbose, prone to stringing together several sentences before getting to the point.

Abilities & Skills

Mundane Skills

  • Alchemy: The non-magical variety that involves real world basic chemistry ability. He can mix basic medicine, minor explosives, inks, and natural poisons for example. He's versed in all the laboratory equipment that comes with such as well.
  • Medical Training: Xenophon is trained in the various bodily systems and functions. He is a competent enough doctor if he can be prodded to provide services.
  • Rogue Skills: Stealth and other larcenous skills are the forte of his Goddess. He has learned much in his time under her tutelage.
  • Sleight of hand: Xenophon has incredible skills in basic up close trickery.
  • Small Weapons: Xenophon is capable with any variety of daggers, knives and other small simple bladed weapons. He is also proficient with throwing darts and knives.

  • Alchemy: The magical kind that is far more involved. Xenophon can bottle speed, health and basically as anything else if he knows or can figure out the formula.

Basic Enchantment: A subset of Alchemy that allows the enchantment of items. Primarily used to create potions in conjunction with alchemical processes.

  • Illusions: He is able to project and manipulate images and sounds decently. The maximum size image he can project and maintain is moderate. He could create a few illusionary copies of himself but he couldn't create a whole crowd. His illusions have no smell or tactile sense to them.


Equipment

Weapons

  • Poisoned Dagger: A small plain looking dagger that has a dose of poison in the pommel. A button on the underside of said pommel causes the poison to leak onto the blade. Usually a toxin that induces mild and temporary paralysis is loaded.
  • Darts: Xenophon carries a number of poison tipped darts. The poison only injects on a successful hit. He also has regular darts.

Alchemical Globes: Xeno's prized weapons, he usually has 4 of these on him if he's in his full gear. Each one can be enchanted to have various effects on breaking. Fire and acid are the most common ones he uses but he can make several other varieties as well.


Armor

  • Alchemist's Leathers: A set of leather is resistant to acoustics, acids and fire. This is his whole set of alchemist gear, including the overcoat. Without the whole set it's just leather armor.

Tools

  • Doctor Bag: A bag of boiled leather colored black with dark copper trim. It has a locking mechanism that is keyed to his person. It holds far more than it appears to, roughly 200 lbs of small tools and extra potions.
  • Alchemist Laboratory: Xeno has a well stocked and appointed alchemy workshop. He can do most basic work here without any difficulty.
