Description
The Void market is a small complex below the Red Lantern District, built at an abandoned section of Drache's sewer system. Rumours about its black market and gladiatorial arena have been spread all over Drache in the years since its opening, although little is known about the location itself.
The Main entrance to the market is located at the basement of a local brothel named Pandora's Box, where only a few are granted access to it. There is a second stairway, used by the managers in case of emergencies, leading to an unknown location at the Wharf District. Both are heavily secured.
A group of armed mercenaries acts as the local Guard, maintaining a certain amount of peace at the market. They can be recognized by the leather armours and crimson cloaks, organized in patrols of 3 or 4 that wander the market in a daily basis.
The Void's main attraction would be its arena. Battles are set every hour in small tournaments for each category, but the most popular and organized are the deathmatches, held at night for the best warriors of the game. Any weapon is welcome, except the use of magic (Spellcasters do have a category of their own.)
Besides the crowded arena, the Void is also a black market, where most items are considered illegal in the world above, from slave trading to contraband from Zul Kiras, in exchange for a small location fee.
The Void is also considered neutral territory, meaning private crimelord/guild wars are banned. That is a Golden law, and the punishment for those who break it is rather severe.
